This session was FUN! Mom was great, so laid back...the kiddos were a blast! Full of spunk, personality...so super sweet!!!! I knew it was going to be great when Ethan ran up to me as soon as I got out of my car and said "hey Rikki, how do I look"?. I had never met these too...but you would have thought I had know them for years:)

Nolan turns ONE!

What a cutie Nolan is! I really enjoyed meeting this little guy and his sweet Mommy & Daddy:) I LOVE when my clients come all prepared, and that they did. Mom had brought several cute little outfits, and the cutest little "UT set-up". Nolan was full of happy on the go energy, he looks like he will be walking any day...or running:)

We finished out the session with Nolan enjoying a cupcake from the new Babycakes Cupcakery in Kingsport...I havent been there yet, but they said the cupcakes are wonderful--must try!

A Nice Suprise

I often talk on the phone with my clients or email them, I hear or see the name, and sometimes things just don't click! Anyway...Jennifer and I exchanged several emails and I didn't even realize I knew her until we met for this fun session:) It was a nice suprise to see her, and her husband John, who I went to high school with and meet their precious children Clara and Davis! We had the perfect weather, sunny with a slight breeze and clear skyes, it was a beautiful day which made for beautiful images:)

I had such a wonderful time photographing this lovely family! Jennifer contacted me to take some pics of her family, with a special someone in mind...her Grandfather "Grampy" who was coming to visit! She had not seen him in 4 years and her daughter Lauryn met him for the first time this past week. I just love the one of sweet little Lauryn and her Great Grandfather! Oh my...this little munchkin is ADORABLE!!! Her Mommy contacted me a few months ago to set up Reagan's session, and I am so glad she did. We had so much fun! She was ALL smiles, I don't think she stopped smiling the entire time...until we took her cupcake away! Meet the Ratliff's! I really enjoyed taking these pictures...I had not seen Matt, Amy and Evan in sooo...long! I used to keep Evan 5 days a week all day when he was just a baby, so it was so fun to see how much he has grown! Amy asked me to bring my son Max too so they could see each other and play, and they didn't skip a beat...they picked up playing where they left off. Evan turned two this week which is so hard to believe...time flies by way too fast!

This little mini photo shoot was special for me because she is one of my best friends, not sure what I would do without our friendship! Our boys have grown up together, and they LOVE to be together! She is soon, within days of being the best Mommy to little Addison, and I can't wait to meet her and hold her. This was a last minute photo shoot we just through together while our boys ran around in the background...it was so much fun!

As I am sure some of you know, I too am expecting a little girl in a few months, and I am so excited for our daughters to grow up and be as close as our boys! Future Heartbreakers!!!

I have been fortunate enough to photograph the twins several times!!! They always crack me up! The location was beautiful...the trees and flowers were amazing and the boys were all about the stream and the animals, so we were constantly on the go. We chased a family of ducks, a few peacocks and even went for a swim in the stream:) Thanks Thomas fam for letting me share a little bit of your story through my lens!!!

A Baby Girl on her Way!

It was so nice to put a face with a voice, as Kim and I have talked on the phone a few times about this session! These two are great, and I am pretty sure that baby girl Ella is going to be just as great as her glowing Mommy and proud Daddy! I am so excited, we pulled this off! This was one of those last minute sessions and we made it work. We had to cancel our original date because of rain and I thougt we were going to get rained out on this day, however we beat it literally by seconds! Meet Bobbi Dean! What a sweet beautiful young lady! Her Aunt Bobbi (whom obviously she is named after), scheduled this session as a birthday gift for her sister, Bobbi Deans Mom. I am so so happy I got to meet Bobbi Dean...I will be shooting her Mom's wedding at the end of April, and I am thrilled that I got to spend some time with her lovely daughter before the wedding! The Hale Family!

This was so much fun! Beth contacted me about this session the same time she contacted me regarding her own families session months ago. We all managed to make this work the day before Thanksgiving, which was the perfect time for all to be together! I was amazed that all were able to join...and it was super organized! The Hales consist of brothers, sisters, daughters, sons, neices and nephews! They all got along great and their were many laughs! I really enjoyed this session! Thank you ALL for making it so easy, you never know what to expect with this many people! I really hope your Grandmother enjoyed the picture of you all...it definitely is a priceless gift! Enjoy!

Meet the Roger's fam! I have known Holly since high school, although I would say we haven't seen each other since high school, so it was so nice to see her and her beautiful fam! Oh I could have just loved and hugged all over this little guy, he's such a cutie! Meet Levi...definitely a little gerber baby:) He was so sweet and so extremely good during the hundreds of pics I took of him, I don't even think he made a peep, and at the end...his Mommy laid him down on the couch, rubbed around his sweet little eyes and he went fast asleep, so much sweetness!!! Oh wow...that is what I have to say about the farm that the Page family asked me to come to, to photogaph their fam! SO COOL...I love it, and wish I lived there:) Beth contacted me about taking pics of her fam and her sister-in-law and her girls! I didn't have a whole lot of info on this location except that I knew there were train tracks...well there was a lot more than train tracks, the barn...coolest barns I have seen in a long time, old tractors...and a beautiful sunset. The kiddos were all adorable and so easy going! So cool that we got to see the train go by as we all hurried off the track that we were so casually taking pics on! Anyway, I had a great time with the Page family and I look forward capturing more photos for them and a few more members of their family next week! Enjoy this little sneek peek!

Okay...so these two love birds are awesome and clearly so much in love! This session was so easy for them...honestly probably the easiest for me too! Greg had never been to Jonesborough, he's from up north, NY I believe (hope I am right Greg, forgive me if I am wrong)...anywho, he enjoyed reading up on the history of the cool buildings...and scoping out the town! I had another fun session last week, and I was thrilled that the weather held out for it. I had rescheduled this one a few times due to our yucky weather! Anyway, Colleen contacted me to take pics of her cute little fam, as well as having her twin sister Christina join in on the fun! Meet the Jones! I was super excited about meeting the Jones, we have a few mutual friends and I was honored when they contacted me to capture some maternity pics for them! These two are so easy going and right away I felt like I had known them forever...so easy to talk to, and so natural in front of the camera! It was obvious there was so much love here as you can tell from these pics! Speaking of pics...there are so so so many good ones, but of course I can only put a few up here! I was so super excited to meet with the Burk's! I had heard so much from their aunt, who is a good friend of mine...so when I finally got to meet them I was thrilled! Meet Macy, the twins Austin & Audrey and newest Burk Marley! Ok, so Mom had these kiddos dressed adorable and their fall colors complimented the awesome trees! For those of you who know the Burk's and maybe have a FB page...don't compliment them on the pics...LOL. These pics are a gift for their Daddy who is in Iraq serving our country! Meet this little cutie Matthew...he's beyond cute, he is precious! I had so much fun running around with him! He is full of life and personality and...oh my word that little face was just filled with sweetness! I enjoyed my adventures trying to find "Swiper" with Matthew, although we never did find him:) I am so glad his Mommy contacted me to take his pics! The Wonderful Mett's Family

I was thrilled to meet up with the Mett's Family for a fun photo session! We had to reschedule because of rain last week, so I was so excited when we actually had nice weather to capture some sweet images of all three of them! It actually ended up working out better...the leaves had changed color more from last week, which complimented their fabulous fall outfits!!! Ok...so Griffin is a doll baby and one happy little guy! Okay, so lately I haven't really taken a whole lot of pictures of my children...which is rare! I have been so busy, but in a good way! So this morning Max and I went to our gym class and then headed to the VA to walk around and scope out some spots for pictures next week! I believe I have 3 sessions there next week:)! The trees are changing...YAY, they look beautiful! Anyway, I brought my camera along to catch some fun photos of my youngest son Max...he's a riot, and that little face just melts my heart!!! I have known these little munchkins since birth, and I am shocked out how fast three years have flown on by! The boys had a fun Thomas the Train themed birthday, and all the kids had a blast...including my little Max. He's the one in the golf hat:) They all enjoyed train rides, the jump house, powered cars, trains, cake and more!!! The weather was beautiful which made for a perfect party day! Today is Briggs and Braylon's actual birthday and I wanted to give their Mommy a sneak peak of the fun party pics I captured for them! The Nelson Wedding

I was asked to take pics for the Nelson's wedding! My husband works with the groom, and they have become great friends! This isn't something that I normally do, but I was thrilled that they asked! Man, it was a rainy day...it poured the rain all day long! Unfortunately we were unable to get any shots outside! However, I captured tons of fun shots inside...and let me tell you, this group was so much fun! I have never seen kids dance so well, and oh my, they were so so so cute!!! Okay, so I didn't think we were going to be able to pull this one off because of the weather! Scott, Stephanie and Iris picked me up for the shoot...we live right down the street from each other and it only made sense. When we arrived at the first location, the rain was coming down, no sprinkles...I mean POURING the rain! We all sat and stared for a minute, looked at those dark clouds and started juggling different days for the session. So as we headed back to our side of town, we could see the awesome sun shining through. Scott had a great location in mind and I think the pics speak for themselves! Awesome family, awesome location...awesome weather and so so so much LOVE! If you can't see it with this fam, something is wrong with you! HA! Only kidding! LOVED this idea! Erica called me and said she wanted to take pics on the golf course that they live on and I thought that it was a great idea! Meet Zach and all his fun friends!!! Zach is the one in the cool guitar shirt, and let me just tell you... this little boy is full of personality, I love it!!! Zach's Mommy asked me to capture his big day and I am so glad I was able to. I had so much fun watching him and his gazillion friends run around! They had lots of food, played on the playground, pinata, and a lot of air guitar playing going on! They had a blast! It was Claire's 2nd birthday, and she invited all her friends along with my little Max to her birthday party in the park! A Crazy but FUN Evening on the Farm with the Hunter's!

Meet the Hunter's, what a sweet FUN family they are! I have known Rhiannon for a few years, we sort of used to work together, in one way or another! I was so excited about taking pics of the Hunter's on the farm, and loved that they were up for doing something different! However, it turned out to be VERY different, and I owe them BIG time! Let's just say that, I left the gate open and the horses had a bit of a "hay day" running wild! SORRY DAD!!!! Oh, how I dread telling him! Anyway, thanks to Rhiannon & John, oh and a few neighbors, we were able to round them back up! I could give anything for a picture of what we all looked like after the horse chase, but all is good and I can assure this will NEVER happen again! I learned a lesson big time:) Believe it or not, we captured some great photo's as you can see. Tomorrow is Claire's 2nd birthday party, and I can't wait to capture her big day! A BIG thank you to the Hunter's for helping me! You guys are AWESOME!!!

My friend Stephanie asked me to take pictures of her son's first birthday party this past weekend! The party was outside and the weather was perfect! For those of you who have kids, you envision you kids smashing their tiny little hands into their very first birthday cake and enjoying every minute of it...but in reality it doesn't always happen just that way you think it will. Well, Hagan LOVED every minute of his cake and was the "picture perfect" first birthday cake eater...if that makes any sense at all! He was so so so cute...I caught myself laughing and smiling behind the camera the entire time he was devouring it! I am so glad I was there to capture his big day~ Happy Birthday Hagan!!!

Meet Briggs and Braylon! I have known these two since, well birth...I was there anxiously awaiting their arrival the day they made their big debut. Their Mom, Brittany and I have been close friends for years and neighbors for the past 5 years. Just recently they sold their house, so I don't get to see the boys as much as I used to! Karla and I had a blast taking pics of these two, and found it quite amusing that they wanted nothing to do with smiling for us...however, even those serious little faces melt your heart! Mom was able to get them to crack a smile every once in while for us! Anyway, we had so much fun and can't wait until the next time we get to hang out with the boys!
